Your Odometer
    If you are having direct repair, that is, if your cluster is being returned
to you , there is no need for you to remove the Odometer from your Cluster
prior to shipment. We will return your repaired cluster intact with your
Odometer.

    If an exchange is being made you must remove the Odometer from the
Cluster before shipping to our repair facility. We ship a Cluster without the
Odometer. Instructions below will help you understand how to remove the
Odometer from your defective Cluster.

Odometer Removal
    After removal from your Vette locate a cleared area and lay the Cluster
face down on a soft cloth. This protects the display faces.

    Next remove the 7/32 screws that retain the bottom cover. Note that a two
wire plug type connector is attached from the Odometer to the circuit
board.  Disconnect this connector.

    Remove (3) 7/32 screws that retain the Odometer and lift out Odometer.
Lay aside and replace the bottom cover and bottom cover retaining screws.
    You will reverse this procedure to reconnect your Odometer in the exchange
unit you will receive.
